Separation Day Pageant Saturday, May 19, 2018

Do you have a lovely lady between the ages of 3 and 18? Looking for an opportunity to encourage confidence, build self-esteem, and the possibility to be crowned Miss Separation Day? In preparation for the annual Separation Day Festival in June, the New Castle Jaycees are holding the annual Separation Day Pageant on May 19, 2018 to crown the Separation Day Court.Winners will receive a tiara, sash, flowers and represent their title in the Separation Day Parade on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Food & Craft Beer Friday, June 8, 2018

Included in Friday's activities are the addition of some food vendors and craft beer vendors. This will be a family friendly atmosphere that will stop serving alcohol promptly at 9:30pm. In order to ensure a good balance of food and beverage vendors, applications will only be approved on a limited basis and need to accompany a $50.00 Vendor Fee. For exhibitor convenience, setup may start at noon on Friday June, 8th but MUST be completed by 4:45PM.

Parade Saturday, June 9, 2018

The Separation Day Parade is known for being one of the most charming and entertaining parades in Delaware. Re-enactors, bands, dance teams, classic cars, sports teams, mascots and a string band participate in a judged parade that proceeds along Delaware Street into Courthouse Square.

Arts & Crafts Show Saturday, June 9, 2018

The Arts and Craft Show is designed as a way for local artists and crafters showcase and sell items they have created. This event does NOT permit RESELLERS. Resellers will need to complete the Profit Vendor (next section) application and receive approval prior to being allowed to enter the event. In order to ensure a good balance of exhibits, the Separation Day Committee selects exhibitors and assigns space. Please submit your request for exhibit space using the Exhibitor Form (button). If you are not selected for participation, any registration fees received will be immediately returned. Upon approval, booth space will be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 to allow for a 10x10 tent to fit comfortably in the space. The show runs from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. For exhibitor convenience, setup may take as early at 8:00AM.

Promotional & Non-Profit Vendors

Promotional vendors are welcome during Separation Day. If you have a business that you would like to promote, the Separation Day Committee will review your business and if accepted you will receive detailed information with maps, rules and regulations for participation. If for some reason your business is not accepted, you will receive your registration fee in return immediately. Upon approval, booth space will be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 to allow for a 10x10 tent to fit comfortably in the space. The show runs from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. For exhibitor convenience, setup may start as early at 8:00AM. ​If you are a community or non-profit organization we encourage you to complete the Non-Profit Participant Form (above).

DISCLAIMER: Vendors are required to stay until 6pm since the festival does not start until about noon. Vehicles WILL NOT be permitted before the specified time to ensure safety of our attendees. VIOLATORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE NEXT YEAR.
